Every year, on the third Thursday of May, the whole world celebrates Vyshyvanka Day. Today, on May 16, the team of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine also joined the celebration.

On this day, Ukrainians all over the world dress up in traditional national embroidered clothing. It is an international holiday designed to preserve the ancient folk traditions of creating and wearing ethnic embroidered Ukrainian clothing.

World Vyshyvanka Day is a holiday that unites Ukrainians across space and time. It has gained special importance in today’s reality. Cultural heritage is an important component of national identity, the modern formation of Ukrainians and the awareness of their roots and future.
