Specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in the Infodays dedicated to the Horizon Europe WIDERA and Research Infrastructures
On December 12-13, the Horizon Europe National Contact Points in the areas of activity Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area and Research Infrastructures held joint information events on participation in the Programme in Lviv. The events were attended by the experts of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU who joined as speakers.
On December 12, the Information day was held at the Ukrainian Catholic University. Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU opened the event with a welcoming speech. Among the issues covered during the event were:
- general rules and features of participation in the Horizon Europe Programme;
- WIDERA: narrowing the gap in research and development between the Programme’s leading countries and those lagging behind;
- access to research infrastructures for Ukrainian research;
- peculiarities of consortium formation in the Horizon Europe Programme.
On December 13, an Information day dedicated to the WIDERA and Research Infrastructures was held at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Traditionally, Igor Taranov, Head of the Office, among others, greeted the participants and wished them to create successful applications and join the Horizon Europe projects.
Leading Officer of the Department Maksym Kolisnyk presented success stories of Ukrainian organisations within the WIDERA. In particular, he spoke about the HEOinUA-101132682 project – Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine – which has been successfully implemented for over a year on the basis of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine. For her part, Nadiia Naumova, Leading Officer, informed the participants about examples of success stories of Ukrainian participants in the Research Infrastructures.
At the end of each event, a consultation session was held for all stakeholders on the Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area under the leadership of Olga Sulema, Head of the Horizon Europe NCP in this area.
