Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine NRFU raises awareness of the Horizon Europe Programme: joint event with the Agency for European Innovation

On June 14, the Agency of European Innovation and Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU held a joint online event dedicated to the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe. The practice-oriented event “Supporting the participation of Ukrainian organizations in Horizon Europe calls with a focus on Pillar II “Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness” was organized to raise awareness of all stakeholders.

The event was opened with a welcoming speech by Ivan Kulchytskyi, President of the Agency of European Innovations. He also presented practical aspects of forming consortia for participation in Horizon Europe.

The speech of Hryhoriy Mozolevych, Director General of the Directorate for Science Development of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, was very important. The representative of the Ministry of Education and Science announced the launch of the network of Ukrainian National contact points of Horizon Europe. This event was highly anticipated, as the nomination of NPCs will create strong infrastructure support for the Horizon Europe and Euratom programmes, as well as strengthen the participation of Ukrainian organizations in them.

Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, presented the opportunities of the Ukrainian Office for domestic scientists and innovators. Among others, leading officers of the Office spoke in detail about the individual components and aspects within the Pillar II of the Programme.
