Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine works to achieve European integration: working visit to Brussels

The team of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU is on a working visit to the capital of the European Union Brussels. On June 25, the experts had a series of meetings and events important for the further development and integration of the national research and innovation infrastructure into the European Research Area.

The Ukrainian delegation visited the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission. The experts of the Office spoke about their activities since the official launching, their goals and plans for the future in order to raise awareness of the opportunities of Horizon Europe for Ukrainian researchers and innovators. The parties also discussed important common issues that should be addressed together.

Among the representatives of the Directorate who hosted the Ukrainian guests were Elena Righi Steele, Head of the Unit Euratom Research (DG RTD.C.4) of the European Commission, Domenico Rosetti di Valdalbero, Deputy Head of the Unit for Euratom Research, and Mykola Dziubynskyi, EC representative of the Euratom Programme.

The meeting took place alongside the negotiations on accession of Ukraine and Moldova to the EU, which started yesterday in Luxembourg at the annual Intergovernmental Conference.
