Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, consults state research institutions
On May 29, experts of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, held a consultation with Volodymyr Ivchenko, Director General of the Ukrainian Research Institute for Agricultural Productivity (Ukragropromproductivnist) of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. The Institute is a state budgetary research institution specialising in the development of systems of economic work and time standards, as well as productivity management methodologies for agricultural enterprises. The research institute is a part of the network of agricultural research institutions, which are one of the key Horizon Europe’s target groups.
At the beginning of the meeting, Igor Taranov, Head of the Department ‘Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine,’ NRFU, spoke about the main functions of the department and introduced its employees. For his part, Volodymyr Ivchenko informed the Office’s specialists about the areas of activity and current challenges faced by the research institute, in particular, the creation of a regular work framework for the sectors and sub-sectors of the agro-industrial complex, improvement of social and work relations and work productivity expertise, scientific research and practical application of their results. A representative of the institute also spoke about the institution’s grant activities.
The participants of the meeting discussed in detail the current opportunities for participation in the calls within the new Work Programme for 2025 in the context of Clusters 5: Climate, Energy and Mobility and Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment, which include the issues of agro-industrial development. The Office’s experts also described in detail the features of other Horizon Europe components related to the specialisation of the research institution.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to study the possibility of holding joint information events to raise awareness and increase the participation of scientific institutions and enterprises of the agricultural sector in the Horizon Europe Programme.
