Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, continues to receive requests from Ukrainian organisations interested in participating in the Horizon Europe Programme. On March 30, an online consultation was held for specialists from the Ukrainian Geological Research and Production Centre SC, NJSC “Nadra Ukrainy”.

The organisation’s team has already made first steps: they have registered on the Funding & Tenders Portal, obtained a PIC number and contacted the Office for practical advice on further participation in the Programme.

During the meeting, they discussed how to:

  • find relevant calls for proposals and assess their chances;
  • search for partners and join international consortia;
  • make use of cascade funding opportunities;
  • successfully complete the organisation’s validation process;
  • prepare for the submission of a project proposal.

Special attention was paid to opportunities for projects in the geology, geomechanics and the energy transition areas.

In addition, on March 31, the Office’s experts provided consultation to representatives of GTI Energy LLC. The company intends to implement a project to install an energy storage facility and a solar power plant, both of which are planned for construction in the Kyiv region, and requires assistance regarding participation in Horizon Europe in the energy and renewable energy areas.

During the meeting, the specifics of participation were discussed in terms of the types of calls for proposals and beneficiaries, the possibility of implementing pilot solutions in the energy sector, as well as approaches to analysing calls for proposals related to energy infrastructure, with the example under Cluster 5 call HORIZON-CL5-2026-03-D3-21.

The possibilities for participation in horizontal calls, designed to combine various components of Horizon Europe with the aim of supporting key strategic areas, were also discussed. In particular, the HORIZON-CID-2026-01-02 call was examined, where, as part of preparing innovative solutions for market entry, proposals may also include the deployment of infrastructure for scaling up within trans-European energy and transport networks.

Participants of the consultations received answers to all their questions. Such events help Ukrainian organisations not only to better navigate the Programme’s requirements but also to take their first steps towards participating in international projects with greater confidence.

We would like to remind you that Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, is open to enquiries from all interested parties and continues to support Ukrainian applicants at all stages of preparation for participation in Horizon Europe calls.
