Participation of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine specialists in the events organised by NCPs
Specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, are regular participants in events organised by the National Contact Points (NCPs) of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme and provide them with informational support.
On April 15, representatives of the NCP on Civil Security for Society, operating at the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and the G. E. Pukhov Institute for Energy Modelling Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, held an information event. The event was dedicated to Horizon Europe Cluster 3 Civil Security for Society calls.
Specialists from the Office joined the event to strengthen expert support for participants. The meeting was opened by Oleksandr Muzychuk, vice-rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, and Tetyana Matyushkova, head of the international cooperation Department, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. During the event, leading officer Nadiia Naumova presented success stories projects implementation in the area of Civil Security for Society by Ukrainian organisations: AGILE, TELEMETRY, eNOVATION, SALUS, GUARDIANS, PACK, QARC.

NCP representatives Oleksii Serdyuk and Oleksandr Chemerys gave practical advice based on the outcomes of the EC Cluster 3 Information Days held in March in Brussels, and analysed the specifics of current calls in the area of cybersecurity. The event concluded with a discussion during which potential applicants received answers regarding the specifics of forming international consortia within the framework of the above-mentioned Cluster.
Also, on April 16, a webinar “European Institute of Innovation and Technology: Grant Opportunities and Development Programmes” was held, organised by the NCP on European Institute of Innovation and Technology with the participation of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU. The event was targeted at potential participants: higher education institutions, research organisations, businesses, researchers and students.
During the webinar, Oleksandr Moiseiev, leading officer, presented the European Institute of Innovation and Technology as an independent body of the European Union, its structure and Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), operating principles, synergies and complementarity with the Horizon Europe Programme, and more.
For her part, Vitalina Babenko, Head of the NCP, provided detailed information on the EIT’s open calls and the opportunities available to Ukrainian applicants. In particular, she spoke about calls aimed at higher education institutions, researchers and students, as well as businesses, with a particular focus on start-ups.
