We are pleased to announce that on September 24-25, 2026 the EU AgRI 2040 Conference: Future-proofing EU Agri-Food through research and innovation will take place in Brussels.

The focus of the Conference is on the upcoming “New Strategic Approach to Research and Innovation for competitive, resilient and sustainable agriculture, forestry, rural areas and food systems: Future-proofing EU agri-food through AgRI 2040 and Food 2040”.

The two-day event will offer a space for reflection, exchange and co-creation with key stakeholders on priorities for future agriculture, forestry and rural R&I. The overall aim is to help deliver the ambitions of the Vision for Agriculture and Food through the next EU Research and Innovation Programme 2028-2034 (FP10) and the future European Competitiveness Fund (ECF).

The Conference will bring together a wide spectrum of actors of the farming, forestry and rural R&I communities, including high-level government representatives, policy-makers, research institutions, research funders, scientists and academia, representatives of the farming and forestry sectors and related professions, including farmers, businesses, innovators, start-ups, SMEs, advisors, knowledge brokers, knowledge multipliers and facilitators, and NGOs.
