Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU) continues to disseminate partner search opportunities received through the network of Horizon Europe National Contact Points. Below are current expressions of interest from European organisations seeking to engage Ukrainian partners in the preparation of project proposals.

Biodiversity and Tackling Insect Decline

Organisation: University for Continuing Education Krems (Austria)

Call topic: HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-BIODIV-01 – Understanding and tackling the decline of insects

The University is developing the Biodiversity Atlas Austria, an open biodiversity data infrastructure, and offers expertise in the following areas:

  • biodiversity data management;
  • species monitoring;
  • spatial analysis and habitat mapping;
  • ecosystem services;
  • integration of environmental data;
  • dissemination of data through international information platforms.

Early Cancer Prediction through Microbiome Research

Organisation: CAST – Università degli Studi “G. d’Annunzio” (Italy)

Call topic: HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-02 – Microbiome for early cancer prediction before the onset of disease

The organisation is seeking partners for collaboration in the fields of:

  • cancer research;
  • proteomics and multi-omics approaches;
  • biomarker discovery and validation;
  • personalised medicine;
  • research on the relationship between the microbiome and cancer development.

Standardising Climate Services for Climate Change Adaptation

Organisation: Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC-CNR, Italy)

Call topic: HORIZON-MISS-2026-01-CLIMA-03 – Standardising and supporting climate services for climate adaptation

The Italian Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC-CNR) is seeking partners and/or a consortium to prepare a project proposal under the above topic within the framework of the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change.

The organisation offers expertise in:

  • climate services;
  • semantic modelling and knowledge graphs;
  • integration of climate data;
  • standardisation of climate service delivery processes;
  • decision-support systems for climate risk assessment;
  • planning and implementation of climate adaptation measures.

In particular, ISTC-CNR coordinates the Horizon Europe project HACID and has developed the innovative Climate Service Domain Knowledge Graph (CS-DKG) infrastructure, which enables the integration, interoperability and reuse of climate data and services.
