Partners search for participation in the Horizon Europe calls
The Satellite Ocean colour and Phytoplankton Ecology (SOPhyE) laboratory, Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Bedford Institute of Oceanography under the leadership of Dr. Emmanuel Devred is interested in finding partners to collaborate on the following Horizon Europe topics:
- HORIZON-CL6-2027-01-BIODIV-01: Integrating Remote Sensing and in-situ observations of Biodiversity, towards a fully interoperable observation and data framework
- HORIZON-CL5-2027-01-D1-12: Better understanding and attribution of land and ocean carbon sources and sinks
- HORIZON-MISS-2026-03-OCEAN-01: Large-scale demonstration for mapping the distribution and condition of marine habitats to implement the Nature Restoration Regulation.
SOPhyE has extensive expertise in phytoplankton ecology, marine bio optics and satellite ocean colour. They offer our expertise to complement potential projects related to carbon cycling from space, mapping habitat in coastal areas, or supporting fisheries management, in particular if the work is related to climate change, or to study trophic levels dynamics. They are therefore looking for expertise that would strengthen their knowledge of the Atlantic ocean ecosystems.
