We would like to inform you that the department “Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine” of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine continues its work under the Project Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine as the key National Contact Point (NCP) 2.0 (HEOinUA 2.0), which has been launched on September 1, 2026.

Under the terms of the Grant Agreement with the European Commission, the HEOinUA 2.0 Project, within the framework of the Call: HORIZON-EURATOM-HORIZONTAL-2026-05-IBA, runs for 36 months and will be implemented until August 31, 2029.

The previous initiative related to Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine was implemented and supported through an earlier call in 2023 under the Euratom Programme. The project was successfully implemented and demonstrated strong relevance and effectiveness in supporting Ukraine’s participation in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. Throughout its implementation, Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine established itself as a central and trusted national hub, providing comprehensive support services for Ukrainian NCPs, researchers, innovators, institutions, and other stakeholders engaging in Horizon Europe.

Building on the experience gained, lessons learnt, and the evolving needs of the Ukrainian research and innovation community, the current proposal represents a substantially revised and new action (HEOinUA 2.0). It introduces updated objectives, expanded activities, and refined implementation mechanisms tailored to the current policy and operational context, including Ukraine’s strengthened integration into the European Research Area.

The Office 2.0 will deliver a broad portfolio of activities, including information and awareness raising, capacity building, partner search and matchmaking, and support to policy dialogue and coordination with NCPs and EU counterparts. These efforts will contribute to increased visibility of Ukrainian research potential, improve proposal quality, and stronger integration of Ukrainian organisations into European research networks.
