✓ The Horizon Europe Programme for 2021-2027 with a budget of €95.5 billion aims to combat climate change, contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and enhance the EU’s competitiveness and growth. The Programme fosters cooperation and enhances the impact of research and innovation in developing, supporting, and implementing EU policies to address global challenges, and supports the creation and better dissemination of advanced knowledge and technologies.

✓ The EU4Health Programme, implemented by the European Health and Digital Agency (HaDEA), with a budget of €5.3 billion, is the fourth and largest EU health programme since its launch in 2003.

✓ The LIFE Programme 2021-2027 contributes to the EU’s transformation into a climate-neutral and sustainable society by supporting the implementation of the EU’s climate policy under the Green Deal for Europe and preparing the EU for the climate challenges of the coming years and decades. The programme is divided into four sub-programmes: Nature and biodiversity”, “Circular economy and quality of life”, “Climate change mitigation and adaptation” and “Clean energy transition”.

 

✓ The Euratom Research and Training Programme (2021-2025) carries out the following key research activities through direct and indirect actions in the areas of nuclear safety, security, radioactive waste, spent fuel management, radiation protection, and fusion energy.

The Programme is also expanding research on non-energy applications of ionising radiation, with a strong emphasis on developing skills and competences in the nuclear field. The Programme will contribute to improving education, training and access to research infrastructure, enabling Europe to maintain its global leadership in nuclear safety and waste management and to achieve the highest level of radiation protection.

In addition, the Programme supports the mobility of researchers in the nuclear field under the Horizon Europe Programme in the context of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA).

 

✓ The Digital Europe Programme does not solve challenges in isolation. It complements the funding available through other EU programmes, such as the Horizon Europe for research and innovation and the Connecting Europe Facility for digital infrastructure, the Recovery and Resilience Facility, and the Structural funds. It is part of the EU’s long-term EU budget, the Multiannual Financial Framework for 2021-2027.

Over the past 30 years, it has helped change the lives of more than 10 million participants and continues to provide opportunities for a wide range of individuals and organisations during the next seven-year lifecycle (2021-2027).

 

✓ The European Solidarity Corps is an EU-funded Programme for young people who want to get involved in solidarity activities in various fields. These range from helping disadvantaged people to humanitarian aid, as well as promoting health and environmental protection in the EU and beyond.
