Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU facilitates energy efficiency in Ukraine: participation in the forum on energy security
On July 24, a representative of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in the forum: Energy Security: Public-Private Partnership. The event, dedicated to the critical issues of strengthening energy security, energy efficiency, energy saving and energy independence, was organized by the International Closed Woman Business Club “Business Woman Club” together with the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU presented to the participants the possibilities of grant support from the European Union, in particular Horizon Europe Programme. Igor Taranov highlighted the prospects for the participation of Ukrainian researchers and innovators in calls under the Cluster 5: Climate, Energy and Mobility. Separately, the speaker told about calls open for submission with the keywords «energy efficiency».
Other topics discussed at the forum included government programmes for energy efficiency and distributed generation projects, business solutions for energy independence, efficient energy usage, and energy efficiency loans for businesses and communities.
The event became an important platform for expanding cooperation between the public and private sectors, which will enhance the development of innovations and thus contribute to Ukraine’s energy security and independence. The event was attended by over 150 participants from 8 countries, who joined in person and online. They are representatives of the Government, state and executive authorities, Oschadbank, business, government organisations and international partners, including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
