Representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in the XVI Congress of the Ukrainian Association of European Studies
On October 17-18, the XVI Congress of the UAES took place in Uzhhorod: Ukraine’s Accession to the EU and Reconstruction. The annual event was organised by the Ukrainian Association of European Studies with the support of the Uzhhorod National University Rectorate and the Educational and Research Institute of European Integration Studies of UzhNU in cooperation with the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine. At the invitation of the organisers, Tayisiya Symochko, a representative of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, joined as a speaker.
Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine Leading Officer spoke on the second day of the event, October 18, in the Section: Migration Challenges in European Integration Processes and Good Governance in the EU: Current Trends. The speaker presented a practical excursion on the topic: School of a young researcher: current trends in the development of European studies.
The overarching theme of the event was the prospect of Ukraine’s accession to the EU and the reconstruction of the country after the war. The congress sessions and plenary sessions covered such topics as: scenarios of Ukraine’s accession to the EU; EU democracy support policies and challenges for the neighbourhood; the role of universities in rebuilding Ukraine: strengthening the third mission of universities; EU social policy as a key factor in shaping a socially oriented economic model for rebuilding Ukraine; a strategy for strengthening resilience for security and cooperation in Europe; EU good governance standards: ways to implement in Ukraine; EU equality and non-discrimination policies and experience for Ukraine.
