Introduction to the goals and objectives of Horizon Europe with a focus on the Сluster 6: NСP Chornobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve held an information event together with the HEOinUA
On October 24, the National Contact Point of Horizon Europe on the basis of the Chornobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve held an information seminar on the goals and objectives of the Programme with a focus on Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment. Representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in the information event as leading speakers.
Vladyslav Mykhailenko, PhD in Ecology, Leading Officer of the Office, presented the Horizon Europe, as well as statistics on the participation of Ukrainian researchers and innovators in it. For her part, Nataliia Didenko, PhD in Agriculture, Senior Researcher, Deputy Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, informed about the opportunities under Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment. The specialist spoke in detail about the priority areas, focused on synergies with other EU programs and instruments, and the additional opportunities to attract funding from programmes and Partnerships, and emphasised relevant competitions.
In addition to the speeches of the specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, the participants of the event received information about the opportunities of the Programme, in particular for the organisations of the country’s nature reserve fund from Valeriy Malyarenko, the NRFU of Horizon Europe based on the Chornobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve.
The Q&A session was very active. Interested participants asked many questions and received qualified answers, as well as information about other events dedicated to Horizon Europe Programme. Also, we would like to remind you that on October 30, 2024, the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU will hold a training event “Practical aspects of participation in Horizon Europe” dedicated to the first anniversary of its successful operation on the basis of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
