Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU expands the boundaries of cooperation: bilateral meeting with the Slovak National Horizon Office
On December 19, a joint information meeting was held between the specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU and representatives of the Horizon Europe National Contact Points in Ukraine with representatives of the Slovak National Horizon Office and National Contact Points of the Slovak Republic. The event was held within the Ukrainian Government’s assignment to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the area of science and innovation of higher education and research institutions to promote the development of scientific research and science assessment methodology.
The event was opened by Kvetoslava Papanova, Coordinator of the Horizon Europe National Contact Points at the Slovak Centre for Scientific and Technical Information (SCSTI). The representative of the Slovak NCP told the participants of the meeting in detail about the peculiarities of the institution’s work, structure and activities. Also, each of the Slovak NCPs in individual areas of activity introduced themselves and expressed openness to communication and participation in future close cooperation.
For its part, the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine was represented by Deputy Head Nataliia Didenko, who also presented the activities of the Ukrainian Office and introduced all its employees, who joined the online meeting in full. In addition, representatives of the Ukrainian National Contact Points made short presentations on their work.
Both sides expressed their wish to deepen cooperation, exchange experience and information, and hold joint information events on participation in the Horizon Europe Programme to reach out to stakeholders in both Slovakia and Ukraine. After all, despite the ongoing war in our country, Ukrainian researchers and innovators are extremely active in research projects. In total, the meeting was attended by more than 30 experts from both countries.
