Call for applications for the 2026 IOS-Regensburg-Odesa Fellowship has been launched

For the attention of scientists and researchers of Odesa-city!

We inform you that the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS Regensburg) together with the City of Regensburg, the Federal Republic of Germany (Regensburg.de), has established a joint research fellow programme for scientists working in Odesa for 2026: IOS-Regensburg-Odesa Fellowship.

The applications are encouraged from social scientists, political scientists, economists, and scholars of cognate disciplines from universities and institutions of higher education and research in Odesa. 

The fellowship aims to strengthen the partnership between Regensburg and its twin city Odesa, as well as between the IOS and academic institutions in Odesa. The duration of the research stay usually lasts between two and four weeks.

The application submission is open until May 31, 2026, via online application form.
