POLICY ENLARGE: Grants to Support Research and Innovation
The POLICY ENLARGE (R&I Policy Support for Enlargement Countries), the project under the Horizon Europe Programme, aims to align policies in the fields of research, innovation and education. The initiative covers Ukraine, as well as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Türkiye.
The call is continuously open from September 9, 2026, to May 3, 2028. However, applications will be evaluated at four interim cut-off dates:
- November 12, 2026
- May 5, 2027
- November 3, 2027
- May 3, 2028.
The programme promotes national and regional cooperation and offers such support instruments:
- Joint Regional Innovation Actions: up to EUR 8,000 per project, with a strict limit of EUR 4,000 per consortium partner.
- Collaborative Uptake of Results: up to EUR 8,000 per project, with a maximum of EUR 4,000 per partner.
- People-to-People Cooperation Projects: mobility grants of up to EUR 5,000, with a maximum of EUR 4,000 per partner.
Funding conditions:
- The grant covers up to 80% of the total project budget.
- The remaining 20% must be covered by the participants from their own resources as co-financing, which must be clearly specified in the application budget.
- The amount indicated in the application is fixed and determines the amount of the grant. Funding is provided as a lump sum.
