On December 5, a joint webinar on the Horizon Europe Framework Programme was held. The event was organised by Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU and the National Contact Point of the Programme in the area of activity “Joint Research Center” for representatives of higher education institutions, research institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, and NGOs.

Among the issues covered during the event by representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine were a general overview of the EU’s Flagship Research and Innovation Programme Horizon Europe (Liudmyla Lisova, PhD in Engineering, Leading Officer) and success stories in the Program: the HEOinUA-101132682 project (Igor Taranov, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Head of the Office). Nataliia Didenko, PhD in Agriculture, Senior Researcher, Deputy Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, also held a master class for the participants on the tool for selecting tenders and finding partners – the EU Funding and Tenders Portal.

In addition, opportunities for Ukraine under the Joint Research Center component were presented by Kalina Esmaine, Policy Officer at the Joint Research Center, EC. For his part, Lyubomyr Nykyruy, Head of the National Contact Point “Joint Research Center”, spoke about the peculiarities of supporting Ukrainian applicants of the Programme in the context of the activities of this NCP.

The webinar ended with a Q&A session, during which participants had the opportunity to ask questions and get answers from the experts of the Horizon Europe Programme. Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, summarised the results and emphasised the importance of joint activities of the Office and national contact points to reach out to all domestic researchers and innovators interested in EU support, which will also contribute to the process of Ukraine’s integration into the European Research Area.
