Conference: “International Research Cooperation – with Ukraine and for Ukraine”
Estonian Research Council (ETAG) in cooperation with the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU) and supported by ESTDEV (Estonian Centre for International Development) are organising conference: “International Research Cooperation – with Ukraine and for Ukraine”.
Target audience: Ukrainian and Estonian researchers, research managers, and policy makers interested in strengthening R&D collaboration with Ukraine.
Context and Objectives:
This one-day hybrid conference will provide an overview of existing Estonian-Ukrainian research cooperation and explore new opportunities for strengthening scientific collaboration with Ukraine in a broader European context.
The opening session will focus on national, EU-level and Nordic-Baltic efforts to support Ukraine’s scientific resilience, integration, and capacity building. The following sessions will highlight the role of universities and research communities. Estonian universities will present Ukraine-focused initiatives, and international projects involving Estonian and Ukrainian researchers will be showcased. The panel discussion will offer practical insights how cooperation can address Ukraine’s R&D needs and foster sustainable collaboration.
The conference provides a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and building new connections. Its hybrid format ensures broad participation from Estonia, Ukraine, and the wider European research community.
