On November 15, a representative of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in a workshop for Ukrainian scientists who want to commercialise their research and ideas, organised within the Science2Business programme. Igor Taranov, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Head of the Office, presented to the participants of the event the opportunities for financing and writing grant applications under the EU Research and Innovation Programme Horizon Europe.

Mr. Taranov spoke in detail about the Programme, its pillars, clusters and components, focusing on the opportunities for each of them, project budget planning and document preparation. In addition, the Head of the Office demonstrated the tools for selecting calls and finding partners: EU Funding & Tenders Portal and CORDIS. The speaker also informed about the structure of the grant application, emphasising certain aspects that must be taken into account when preparing it.

After the speech, the Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine answered the questions of the audience and encouraged everyone who is interested in participating in the Programme and has any questions or difficulties to contact the Horizon Europe National Contact Points of Ukraine in specific areas of activity or send their requests to the official e-mail of the Office: horizoneurope.info@nrfu.org.ua.

The workshop is part of a comprehensive 5-week Science2Business training programme that helps scientists commercialise their research and ideas. Through this programme, experts will help to change the mindset of scientists by providing them with entrepreneurial skills. Science2Business is a part of the Seeds of Bravery project, funded by the European Union under the European Innovation Council (EIC) to support Ukrainian technology start-ups and bring them closer to the EU, and implemented by INNOV8 in partnership with Aalto University, EIT Health, and the Erasmus Center for Entrepreneurship.
