Horizon Europe NCPs hold information events with the participation of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU
Representatives of the network of National Contact Points of Horizon Europe Programme held a number of information events in the relevant areas. Specialists from Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, National Research Foundation of Ukraine, joined the events.
Thus, on October 30, an information day dedicated to the Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment was held at the Polissia National University (Zhytomyr). The event was organized by the National Contact Point of the Horizon Europe Programme for Cluster 6 at Polissia National University in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU.
The working part was opened by Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine. The head of the department made a presentation on the achievements of the Office over the year of its work. For her part, Nataliia Didenko, Deputy Head of the Office, presented information on current calls and priority areas within the Cluster 6. In addition, representatives of institutions and organisations that participate in both Horizon Europe Cluster 6 and other EU grant programmes shared successful project implementation stories and experiences.
In addition, on October 31, a presentation of the Horizon Europe National Contact Point in the Cluster Health was held. The event was organised by the Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University, where the NCP was opened, together with the Lviv Regional Military Administration and the Lviv Regional Development Agency.
Olga Polotska, Executive Director of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, and Igor Taranov, Head of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, joined the event and delivered welcoming speeches. The participants were also addressed by the Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Expert Group on Strategizing and Integration into the European Research Area of the Directorate for Science Development of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Olena Makarenko, Policy Specialist of the Operations Division II of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Yehor Pyvovarov, Rector of Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University Orest Chemeris, Head of the NCP Health and the Scientific Center for Molecular Design, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical, Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry of Danylo Halytskyi National Medical University, Roman Lesyk, as well as representatives of the EU NCPs in the relevant area.
Representatives of healthcare institutions in the Lviv region, rectors, researchers of Ukrainian and foreign medical universities, representatives of the Advisory Board of the project “Development of Research Infrastructure for the Drug Design Ecosystem” of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine’s competition “Research Infrastructures for Advanced Scientific Research”, representatives of the public sector and business, and others were invited to participate.
