Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU expands the boundaries of cooperation: meeting with the Norwegian NCP
On May 19, the team of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, National Research Foundation of Ukraine, held an online working meeting with representatives of the Horizon Europe National Contact Point, which operates on the basis of the Research Council of Norway. The goal was to study the specifics of the NCP’s work, exchange experience and establish cooperation.
Igor Taranov, Head of the Department Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, opened the meeting by introducing the Office’s members and presenting the results of its work. The Head of the Department paid attention to the impact of the Office’s activities on the restoration of the national research and innovation system through Ukraine’s participation in the Horizon Europe Programme.
For their part, the Norwegian partners presented the state of implementation of the Programme in their country, the principles of its operation, and shared their best practices. In particular, they described in detail the tools for supporting Norwegian scientists and innovators and research teams, the means of disseminating information, and the processes for selecting partners. They also focused on the organisation of application writing training for potential participants and the prior evaluation of project proposals.
The parties noted the support provided by Norway to Ukrainian scientists, researchers and innovators and agreed to continue further ongoing cooperation. Among other things, they discussed the possibility of participating in future trainings of the Norwegian NPC and holding joint consultations under the Horizon Europe Programme.
