Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU expands the boundaries of cooperation: participation in U-Nation Startup & Innovation
On 25 January 2025, Odesa hosted the fifth international conference U-Nation Startup & Innovation, dedicated to business innovation. Among the key speakers was Vladyslav Mykhailenko, PhD in Ecology, Leading Officer of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU.
The representative of the Office presented opportunities for domestic enterprises under Horizon Europe. In particular, Mr Mykhaylenko talked about the available tools for attracting funding for business start-ups, forms of participation, and the experience of Ukrainian enterprises in the Programme. He also provided a list of useful links that would be useful to participants for submitting grant applications.
In addition, the speaker focused on the openness of the Office’s specialists in providing professional advisory support for successful participation in the Programme’s calls. The information aroused great interest, and the participants asked a lot of questions both after the presentation and during the networking session that took place at the end of the event.
Other topics discussed at the conference included:
- the role of innovation and start-ups in Ukraine’s economic recovery by modern standards, in particular, the integration of technology into its recovery;
- innovations for business development and scaling;
- investment and funding projects;
- international partnerships and projects;
- innovative projects within the U-Nation Startup Accelerator, the 1st international startup Accelerator in the Southern region of Ukraine.
The event has become a platform for the development of start-ups and innovations, as well as an opportunity for participants to see the most promising market-changing projects and learn about innovative ideas that can affect business development.
