The representative of the Office opened the event with a welcome speech, and also informed those who were present about the opportunities for Ukrainians within Cluster 5, namely: calls open for submission and available after official approval of the Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2026-2027.
Other issues covered at the event include:

- success story of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology: SEEDs project – 101138211.
Also on this day, an open media briefing “Consequences of the Russian ecocide in the Black Sea: Ukraine’s commitments and international response mechanisms” was held. One of the speakers of the event was the Leading Officer, Vladyslav Mykhailenko. His report on the topic: “Opportunities of the Horizon Europe in the context of restoration of water resources of Ukraine” was devoted to the success of Ukraine’s participation in the HE calls within the framework of the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters” and planned calls in this direction.
In addition, during the event, Ukraine’s international obligations in the field of ecology and safety, the consequences of the detonation of the Kakhovskaya HPP, the accident of tankers in the Kerch Strait, as well as cooperation with international partners on monitoring the state of the water area were discussed. The event was organized by the Representation of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in partnership with the Ukrainian Scientific Center for Marine Ecology.
Another event, which was joined on November 6 by representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, was an information day for representatives of the NCP EIC, during which the updated Work Programme of the European Innovation Council (EIC) for 2026 was presented. The main goal of the event was to familiarise the network of National Contact Points with the new elements of the Work Programme 2026 in detail.
Experts from the European Commission have clarified in detail the key differences between the calls to be opened this year with a final submission date of 2026 and those announced in previous years, focusing on tools designed to more effectively support breakthrough technologies and startup scaling. The received up-to-date information will allow to better navigate the current requirements and provide quality support to potential Ukrainian applicants in preparation for future EIC calls.
