Horizon Europe Programme as one of the tools in the reconstruction of Ukraine and economic integration: Task Force «Ukraine» was held

On February 25, 2026, the Task Force “Ukraine”, organised by the FIEC – European Construction Industry Federation, was held. Kjetil Tonning, FIEC Honorary President, was the host of the event. Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, joined the event with information about the Framework Programme Horizon Europe.

The Head of the Office presented the Programme’s opportunities for companies and R&I actors. Igor Taranov informed about the Horizon Europe calls aimed at the implementation of projects related to reconstruction, energy and innovation, and how EU and Ukrainian companies can use such funding.

In addition, during the meeting, other issues related to the researching and implementing of Ukraine reconstruction projects and its economic organisations integration into the European market were presented for the review of the participants. In particular, 🎤Lev Partskhaladze, President of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, 🎤Vera Savchenko, representative of the European Business Association, CEO of BDO in Ukraine, as well as 🎤Igor Platonov, Head of the Ukrainian-European firm Diamant.

About 50 participants took part in the meeting. The event became a kind of platform for discussing the possibilities and further steps of Ukrainian and European business participation in the restoration of Ukraine and economic integration.
