Information event: Grant opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and support tools within Horizon Europe Programme in Odesa – Day I
The National Research Foundation of Ukraine continues to raise awareness among scientists, researchers and innovators about domestic grant opportunities, as well as financial support from the European Union, in particular Horizon Europe Programme. Thus, on September 3-5, the NRFU team headed by Executive Director Olga Polotska visited Odesa to hold an information event: Grant opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and support tools within Horizon Europe Programme.
For three days, the specialists of the NRFU will talk about the benefits and conditions of participation in projects from both the National Research Foundation and Horizon Europe, share useful knowledge, and establish contacts with potential applicants and all interested parties.
On the first day of the event, September 3, representatives of the NRFU held two working meetings. The first one was with the governance of the Department of Education and Science of Odesa Regional State Administration, during which the parties discussed joint events. After all, the educational and informational events held by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine contribute not only to the development of domestic science and research, but also accelerate the process of Ukraine’s integration into the global research area.
Besides, the delegation of the NRFU visited the Southern Scientific Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, where they met with the Center’s Head, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Borys Burkinsky, Deputy Director for Research of the Institute for Market and Economic and Environmental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Nina Khumarova, and employees of the Southern Scientific Center, including representatives of the Council of Young Scientists. Among other things, the parties discussed deepening cooperation in the scientific field. In particular, they discussed the establishment of close communication between the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU as the Horizon Europe Coordination Center and the Institute for Market and Economic and Environmental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as the National Contact Point of the Programme in the area of the European Innovation Council and European Innovation Ecosystems.
The second and third days of the information event will be devoted to grant opportunities for Ukrainian participants and will be attended by representatives of higher education institutions, research institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, state and local governments, and non-governmental organisations.
