On November 22, specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU took part in an information event dedicated to the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe under the WIDERA and Research Infrastructures. The event was held at Uzhhorod National University in a hybrid format.

The event, organised by the National Contact Point of the Programme based on the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and the National Contact Point on Zaporizhzhya National University together with Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU was intended to inform potential participants of the Programme about the opportunities in the components Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area (WIDERA) and Research Infrastructures.

Maksym Kolisnyk and Nadiia Naumova, Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine Leading Officers, presented the general rules and features of participation in the 9th Framework Programme Horizon Europe and success stories of Ukrainian organisations within the Research Infrastructures, respectively. In addition, the following topics were covered:

  • reduction of the gap in research activities between the leading countries and other countries of the Program under the WIDERA;
  • success stories of Ukrainian organisations in the context of WIDERA;
  • access to European Research Infrastructures as new opportunities for domestic researchers and innovators;
  • specifics of consortium within the Programme.

The event, organised by the National Contact Point of the Programme at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and the National Contact Point at Zaporizhzhya National University together with Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU is intended to inform potential participants of the Programme about the opportunities in the components Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area (WIDERA) and Research Infrastructures.

The event was joined online and attended in person by scientists, innovators, representatives of higher education institutions, research institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, state and local governments, NGOs, and others.
