Representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU joined the GrantWay: training course of the IP office
On 11 March, representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, took part in the GrantWay training course organised by the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation (IP Office). The course, which consists of 5 modules, aims to help entrepreneurs, scientists and public figures to explore the key aspects of writing grant applications for successful fundraising.
The first day of the event was opened by Olena Orliuk, Director of the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovations, with a welcoming speech. The head of the office expressed her gratitude to the participants for their interest in the training course and emphasised the importance of increasing the research and innovation potential of the country in the context of the current situation. Galyna Shtohryn, Head of the Grant Coordination Department, also welcomed the participants and spoke about the upcoming modules and invited them to join the training course, which is useful for applying for EU grants.
Igor Taranov, the Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, started the working part of the meeting. He presented very detailed results of the Office’s work for Ukrainian participants of the 9th Framework Programme Horizon Europe from the beginning of its launch in 2023 on the basis of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine to the present day. Yuliia Reminska, Leading Officer, informed about grant opportunities for researcher career development within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme component. For her part, Tayisiya Symochko, Leading Officer, presented the budgeting process when working on a grant application.
At the end of the module, the audience raised their questions to the speakers and expressed their gratitude for the information received and the thoroughly prepared presentations. In general, the course will run from 11 March to 8 April on Tuesdays and will be aimed at raising awareness of efficient tools and practices for the career development of researchers and entrepreneurs. In addition, participants will receive practical advice from leading experts in the area of project management.
Also, we would like to inform you that on April 1, 2025, at the 4th module Leading Officer of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine Maksym Kolisnyk will present grant opportunities and tools to support the participation of small and medium-sized enterprises under Horizon Europe. The online event will start at 14:00 Kyiv time.
