Representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, took part in the EDF Info Days
The European Commission organised the EU Defence Fund Info Days 2025 and the networking event dedicated to the Defence Fund. The event gave an opportunity to representatives of the defence sector to learn more about funding, projects and rules of participation in the European Defence Fund (EDF). Specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, joined the event online.
On the first day of the Information Day, Martin Jõesaar, a representative of the Defence Industry and Space Department, European Commission, who is the Head of the EU Defence Innovation Office in Kyiv, made a presentation. In his speech, he emphasised the benefits for European partners in engaging Ukrainian participants in projects. The speaker also reminded the audience of the roles in which Ukrainian participants can be involved in the projects, as the EU is committed to continue providing enhanced political, financial, economic, humanitarian, military and diplomatic support to Ukraine and its people.
During the two days, the participants had the opportunity:
- to receive information from the Directorate General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) about EDF calls, priorities and the EDF Work Programme 2025
- to learn about the conditions for submitting applications and evaluation criteria
- to network with potential partners from across Europe.
It should be noted that about 50 Ukrainian stakeholders took part in the events in person. In total, more than 4,000 participants attended the event on-site and joined online.
