Specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU continue to introduce the Horizon Europe Programme to domestic researchers and innovators: seminar at NTU “KhPI”
On September 23, the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” hosted a seminar on “Existing opportunities and rules for joint participation of universities, SMEs and industrial enterprises in Horizon Europe”. NTU “KhPI” is significantly interested in participating in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe, so the specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU joined the organization and holding of the event.
The seminar was opened with welcoming speeches by Olga Polotska, Executive Director of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, and Andriy Marchenko, Vice-Rector for Research of NTU “KPI”. They greeted the participants and emphasized the importance of holding events of this format, as increasing the awareness of Ukrainian researchers and innovators about the Programme and, as a result, the number of successfully submitted applications not only strengthens the national potential in the relevant areas, but also helps to accelerate the process of Ukraine’s integration into the European research area.
Igor Taranov, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Head of the Office, presented the HEOinUA-101132682 Project – the creation and functioning of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine – as a successful story of Ukraine’s participation in Horizon Europe Programme. For his part, Maksym Kolisnyk, PhD in Public Administration, Associate Professor, Leading Officer of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, spoke in detail about the grant opportunities of the Programme that can be used by representatives of domestic business.
Other speakers included representatives of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute and local business, who highlighted the issues of international research projects and prospects for international cooperation of the educational institution, the participation of Kharkiv scientists in projects under the EURATOM Programme, and the needs of large innovative projects.
The information presented by the experts of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine aroused great interest among the participants, who asked questions about the Programme and received comprehensive and thorough answers. In total, the event was attended by more than 100 people who joined both online and on-site. Among them representatives of higher education institutions, research institutions, businesses, NGOs, and other individuals and organizations interested in participating in Horizon Europe.
