Strengthening participation in the Horizon Europe Programme: Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, held webinar for employees of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv University
Representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine Department, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, at the request of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, held a webinar dedicated to the Horizon Europe transversal component WIDERA. In particular, they talked about opportunities for Ukrainian researchers under the call: HORIZON-WIDERA-2026-04-WIDENING-01: (Research Management Facility). The event was organised for the employees of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv University on April 2 in an online format.
Igor Taranov, the Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine Department, NRFU, started the event with a welcome speech. Anton Nanavov, Deputy Head of the Research Department for International Affairs at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv University, also greeted the participants. The representative of the University thanked the specialists of the Office for raising the level of awareness in aspects of the Horizon Europe Programme call and emphasised the importance of holding this webinar for Kyiv University in terms of its international grant activities.
Nataliia Didenko, Deputy Head of department Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine Department, NRFU, spoke on the information about the mentioned call. She explained in detail why the Research Management Facility initiative was formed by the European Commission and what tasks were set within its implementation, presented a general overview of the call and the expected outcomes. Among other things, the representative of the Office informed about the funding within the call and the specifics of the type of action Coordination and Support Actions, as well as the requirements for the composition of the consortium at the level of the participating countries and the personnel involved. Separately, as part of the presentation, the structure of the project proposal was highlighted.
At the end of the webinar, during the Q&A Session, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions about the Programme directly to the Deputy Head, Natalia Didenko. The event became an important event for Taras Shevchenko Kyiv University, because raising awareness in the Programme and detailed analysis of the call will contribute to the preparation for better project proposals and increase participation in European research projects, including Horizon Europe.
