The Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, as the National Coordinator of the Ukrainian NCP Network, joined the Horizon Europe Academy Workshop
On April 30, the Workshop: Horizon Europe Transdisciplinarity Research: Challenges, Participants and Best Practices took place. The event was organised within the framework of the Horizon Europe Academy of the NCP4HE network for coordinators of the Horizon Europe National Contact Points from across Europe. Igor Taranov, Head of the Department Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, as a National Coordinator of the Ukrainian NCP network, took part in the event.
The aim of the workshop was to introduce the participants to key concepts in transdisciplinary research, to exchange ideas and best practices from across Europe. Among the issues discussed during the event were:
- interdisciplinarity vs transdisciplinarity vs multi-stakeholder approach
- ideas from Net4Society, an international network of NCPs under the Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society of the Horizon Europe Programme
- examples of best practices from different countries.
The event concluded with an open discussion, during which the parties talked about the challenges faced by participants in transdisciplinary research, factors and strategies for success, and effective engagement of target audiences.
The Horizon Academy (NCP4HE) is a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) funded by the European Commission and formed by a consortium of 36 partners in 29 countries. The aim is to achieve a more unified system of NCPs in all countries participating in the Horizon Europe Programme, to strengthen the capacity of NCPs and to enable them to learn from each other.
