The second meeting of the Working Group of Horizon Europe took place

On October 23, the second meeting of the Working Group of Horizon Europe, initiated by Science Europe, took place. Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, joined the online event.

The aim of the Working Group meeting was to take stock of the recent information around the creation of a “Competitiveness Fund” in the Multiannual Framework Programme 2028-2034, which would include all FP10 programmes, including the ERC.

During the event, the members of the Working Group presented recent EU-level reports and their main messages and recommendations at the EU level, discussed the EC potential proposal implications for the Multiannual Financial Framework and FP10, and Science Europe’s campaign, informed about the development of the R&I Integration project. 

Among other things, the campaign activities on MFF and FP10 were presented and discussed. Furthermore, the next steps of the Working Group were outlined.

As a reminder, this is the second meeting of the Working Group of Horizon Europe, which was held at the initiative of Science Europe. The first one was held on April 17, 2024, with the participation of Olga Polotska, Executive Director of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, and Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine.
