Analysis of the involvement of Ukrainian participants in the Cluster 6 of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe calls
Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine continues to analyze and highlight the involvement of Ukrainian participants in the Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment within Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe calls.
While in the previous Horizon 2020 Framework Programme, Ukrainian participants took part in 17 projects and received 1.8 million € funding, in the ongoing Horizon Europe Programme, we have 26 projects with a total funding of 3.44 million €. In the previous Programme, Ukraine was ranked 9th, and now it is 6th.
Top 5 Ukrainian participants in terms of funding in projects under the Cluster 6 of Horizon 2020:
- Ukrainian Scientific Center of Ecology of Sea (445 250 €).
- V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (404 560 €).
- State Scientific Institution “Center for Problems of Marine Geology, Geoecology and Sedimentary Ore Formation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” (170 000 €).
- Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet (118 750 €).
- Odesa State Environmental University (110 000 €).
Top 5 Ukrainian participants in terms of funding in projects under the Cluster 6 of Horizon Europe:
- “FORZA”, Agency for sustainable development of the Carpathian region (448 880 €).
- Polissia National University (402 130 €).
- Institute of Marine Biology of the NAS of Ukraine (309 620 €).
- Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (264 5000 €).
- Ukrainian National Forestry University (261 380 €).
In the Horizon 2020, higher education institutions and private commercial organizations were the most involved among Ukrainian organizations, and in Horizon Europe, higher education institutions and non-profit organizations were the most involved.
