Upcoming NEPHEWS Photon Workshop for MSc and PhD students from Ukraine
For the attention of Master’s students and PhD candidates from Ukraine!
The NEutrons and PHotons Elevating Worldwide Science (NEPHEWS) project is organising NEPHEWS Photon Workshop. The upcoming workshop will take place on December 1-4, 2026 at the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre in Kraków, Poland.
The event is aimed at Master’s students and PhD candidates interested in synchrotron-based research, experimental planning and the preparation of competitive beamtime proposals.
The workshop is open to participants from all countries, with particular priority given to early-career researchers from Ukraine, as well as Estonia, Finland, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Serbia. The event could be a particularly valuable opportunity for young researchers from Ukraine who are interested in developing their experience in synchrotron techniques and establishing new international research connections.

- Target group: MSc students and PhD candidates
- Focus: synchrotron techniques, experimental planning and beamtime proposal preparation
- Support: eligible travel and accommodation costs will be covered for selected participants
