On June 26, 2025, another online training session was held as part of the activities of the Grant Writing School of the Horizon Europe National Contact Point in the area of ‘Climate, Energy and Mobility’, which is based at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (Dnipro). Among the speakers at the event was a representative of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU.

Maksym Kolisnyk, PhD in Public Administration, Associate Professor, Leading Officer, presented the current opportunities offered by the Horizon Europe Programme for entrepreneurs. In particular, he spoke about the mid-term results of Ukrainian private companies’ participation in the Programme, types of calls and how to select them, specific types of activities for companies, approaches to finding partners, etc. The expert focused in more detail on specific tools aimed at supporting and scaling innovative start-ups and SMEs within the framework of Pillar III “Innovative Europe”, in particular: European Innovation Council, European Innovation Ecosystems and European Institute of Innovation and Technology.

In general, the goal of the Grant Writing School is to strengthen the skills of Ukrainian researchers and innovators in preparing and submitting project proposals. Each time, speakers present various useful information for potential applicants. Thus, on May 28, Nataliia Didenko, Deputy Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, took part in the NCP training event, during which she gave an overview of the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
