Grant opportunities of NRFU and Horizon Europe Programme for young scientists: a joint event of NRFU and CYS under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held
On November 4, the online event “Grant opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and support tools within the Horizon Europe Programme for young scientists” was held. The event was organised by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine together with the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
During the webinar, the participants received detailed information about the possibilities of financing research of young scientists within the framework of the NRFU and Horizon Europe calls.
Andriy Kuznetsov, First Deputy Executive Director of NRFU for Grant Support, and Anastasiia Simakhova, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, addressed the participants with welcoming words.
In the first part of the event, the speakers presented key tools for supporting young scientists within the framework of the calls of the NRFU. In particular, Andriy Kuznetsov spoke about the activities of the Foundation and the principles of its work; Tetyana Berehova, Head of the Grant Support Department of the NRFU, introduced the procedure for organising calls; Yuliia Honchar, head of the Department of Financing Grant Projects, the NRFU, focused on the financial part of preparing grant applications; for her part, Oleksandra Kiselyova, Head of the Legal Support Department of the NRFU, highlighted the legal aspects of competitive selection.
The second part of the webinar was devoted to the possibilities of the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe. Thus, Nataliia Didenko, Deputy Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, spoke about the first steps on the way to participation in the Programme and the possibility of using EU Funding & Tenders Portal. In addition, Maksym Kolisnyk, the Leading Officer, presented current calls of the Programme for young researchers.
The event ended with a question-and-answer session, during which participants had the opportunity to receive clarification on participation in calls and other initiatives from the NRFU and Horizon Europe.
