The team of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU held information events dedicated to Horizon Europe Programme for medical institutions
Specialists of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU held a number of online information events dedicated to certain aspects of participation in Horizon Europe Programme for health care institutions.
Thus, on May 19, an online event was held for the employees of Bukovinian State Medical University. The webinar, dedicated to practical issues of participation in the Programme, gathered approximately 100 representatives of medical institution of higher education.
Igor Taranov, head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, opened the event with a welcome speech, who briefly provided statistics on the participation of Ukrainian organisations in the Horizon Europe calls, as well as Igor Gerush, rector of the Bukovinian State Medical University.
The programme of the webinar contained topics relevant to university employees, in particular:
- opportunities within the Horizon Europe Maria Sklodowska-Curie Actions;
- calls within the Cluster 1 Health Work Programme for 2026-2027;
- specifics and open calls within the European Institute of Technology and Innovation;
- the call Research Management Facility within the WIDERA;
- ways of partners search for joint writing applications together.
Specialists of the Office provided detailed information on certain aspects of participation in the Programme and answers to questions that the participants had during the event.

Also, on May 21, the team of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU held an information webinar dedicated to certain aspects of participation in Horizon Europe Programme for employees of the Ukrainian Center for Motherhood and Childhood of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Attention was focused on working with the EU Funding and Tenders Portal.
The event was traditionally started by the head of the Office Igor Taranov. Together with him, Yuriy Antypkin, general director of the Center, congratulated the participants and expressed his gratitude to the Office’s team.
The working part contained theoretical information about the first steps in the Programme, in particular: features of work with the EU Funding and Tenders Portal. In addition, the leading officer Tayisiya Symochko, held a workshop on how to deal with the Portal for the participants. The practical part contained choosing calls, in particular, how to sort them by topics, as well as searching for partners for creating a consortium and writing a joint application.
At the end of the event, the participants got answers to the raised questions. The results were summed up by the head of the Office Igor Taranov, and Nataliia Gorban, deputy director for scientific work of the Ukrainian Center for Motherhood and Childhood of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
According to the results of the webinar, the parties agreed on further cooperation and holding similar information events for employees of the medical institution, dedicated to other aspects of participation in Horizon Europe.
