Supporting Ukrainian scientists in time of war: experts of HEOinUA took part in a meeting within the MSCA4Ukraine initiative
On March 13, experts from Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine took part in a meeting dedicated to supporting Ukrainian researchers at risk due to armed aggression from russia. The event was held as part of the MSCA4Ukraine project initiative with the support of the European Commission.
The event was attended by a representative of the European Commission, Marija Fedotovaite, Policy Officer in charge of regulatory issues in Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture. Dominik Kalweit, MSCA4Ukraine Programme Manager, Scholars at Risk Europe, and Oksana Seumenicht, MSCA4Ukraine Programme Director, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation also joined the meeting.
Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine was represented by its Head, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Igor Taranov, and Leading Officer in charge of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, PhD in Law Yuliia Reminska.
The parties discussed some important points, such as project initiatives launched for Ukrainian scientists at risk, ways of communication and dissemination, and further opportunities for long-term collaboration and strategic partnership between the Office and the MSCA4Ukraine project initiative, fostering sustainable research cooperation and mutual benefit.
