Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine develops Ukrainian-German cooperation: participation in the Ukrainian-Bavarian Conference on Double Degree Programs
On April 30, Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, took part in the Ukrainian-Bavarian Conference on Double Degree Programs. The section “Economic and Legal Science fields” was devoted to the results of the year, developments and achievements of participants who successfully implement double degree programs between European higher education institutions, which significantly contributes to international cooperation, including Ukrainian-German cooperation.
Igor Taranov presented the Horizon Europe Programme as an opportunity for joint Ukrainian-German projects. He spoke about funding opportunities under Horizon Europe, including the Hop On Facility, as well as the MSCA4Ukraine, ERC4Ukraine, and EIC4Ukraine initiatives. During his report, the Head of the Office emphasized that participation in the Programme promotes Ukrainian-German cooperation.
Among the speakers were representatives of European higher education institutions who made presentations on the successful double degree program between the financial departments of Taras-Shevchenko National University, Kyiv and Nord University, Norway, also, on the cotutelle in International Law between Friedrich-Alexander-Universität ErlangenNürnberg and University of Belgrade, Serbia.
The participants of the event shared their progress in establishing a DD program or other type of cooperation and the work done during the reporting period from May 2023 to the present.
In general, the Ukrainian-Bavarian conference on double degree programs consists of several parts. The sections “Humanities and Social Science fields” and “Technical and Natural Science fields” will be held on May 13 and 14, respectively.
