Participation in the Special Session of the Conference «The Role of Science and Innovation for the Recovery of Ukraine»
On August 21, 2024, the 12th International Conference «Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials» was held at Uzhhorod National University (NANO-2024). This conference is initiated by the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in cooperation with partners: Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine), University of Tartu (Estonia), University of Turin (Italy), Pierre and Marie Curie University (France), European Profiles A.E. (Greece), the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kyiv, Angers University (France), and Ruprecht-Karl University of Heidelberg (Germany).
The conference was attended by representatives of the European Commission, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, scientists, innovators, and other stakeholders.
The purpose of the conference is to bring together representatives of innovative industry and academia from different countries to exchange information, trends, and the latest achievements in science and nanotechnology.
On the first day of the conference, the Special Session «The Role of Science and Innovation for the Recovery of Ukraine» was attended by representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, a structural department of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine. They delivered a presentation on the functions of the Office and the opportunities provided within Horizon Europe Programme, including its potential for the restoration of Ukraine’s research infrastructure.
