On December 12, the III International Export Forum: Innovation Boost: Startup your business in the EU and worldwide was held at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kyiv. Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, participated in the event as a speaker.

The programme of the Forum was dedicated to the national export development strategy, state policy on innovation, startups and innovative business, identification of new mechanisms to support national exporters, as well as national and international programmes. Among the international support programmes is the European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe, which was discussed by the Head of the Office during the Discussion panel: The Impact of Innovation on International Exports of Newly Established Enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe. Programmes, trends and tendencies”. Mr. Igor Taranov informed the participants how the Programme supports innovation and internationalisation of start-ups and ventors, in particular through funding and research cooperation.

The event is a sustainable platform for an effective dialog between business and government. Its goal is to create suitable conditions for the development of start-ups and ventors by supporting innovation, investment and cooperation. This year’s event allowed participants seeking to enter international markets to learn about current trends in exports, innovations and support for new businesses in the EU and beyond.

The Forum was organised by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) KICs i EIT Community RIS Hub in Ukraine, the Entrepreneurship and Export Development Office, the national project Diia.Business with the support of the European Enterprise Network (EEN). Support was provided by: Ministry of education and science, Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Export Credit Agency, Ukrainian Innovation Development Fund, Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration.
