BoostUp! Ukraine 2024: Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine expands the borders of cooperation
On March 28, the final of the BoostUp! Ukraine 2024 event took place in Lviv, Ukraine. Igor Taranov, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, National Research Foundation of Ukraine, joined the event.
The Head of HEOinUA presented the EU Framework Programme for research and innovation Horizon Europe, emphasizing the benefits and opportunities that are available to its participants. Igor Taranov also focused on the programme components of the Horizon Europe related to innovation and business in the field of production, and spoke in detail about specific calls within these areas. They are: The African Union-European Union Innovation Platform HORIZON-EIE-2024-CONNECT-01-01; Startup Europe HORIZON-EIE-2024-CONNECT-01-02; Expanding Academia-Enterprise Collaborations HORIZON-EIE-2024-CONNECT-02-01; Mutual learning and support scheme for national and regional innovation programmes HORIZON-EIE-2024-CONNECT-02-02.
BoostUp! is the EIT Manufacturing start-up competition that has been promoting business creation in the manufacturing industry across Europe since 2020. In 2024, the competition was held in Ukraine for the first time to address the Ukrainian manufacturing industry. The event brought together representatives from industry, SMEs, start-ups, research, academia and politics as well as colleagues from EIT Manufacturing to network.
The final was organized by the Ukrainian Automobile and Mobility Cluster. UAMC is a platform that brings together manufacturers, suppliers, service companies, educational institutions, research institutes, associations and government agencies.
