Employees of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU, continue their active work to raise public awareness of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme and its individual components and pillars. Therefore, during the training event “Horizon Europe Work Programme 2025 and Grants of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine – New Opportunities for Ukrainian Scientists and Innovators”, which the NRFU team was holding in Chernivtsi on 16-17 June, representatives of the Office simultaneously took part in an online event organised by the Ukrainian National Contact Points.

In particular, on June 16, Nadiia Naumova, Leading Officer of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, National Research Foundation of Ukraine, joined the information event “Grant opportunities of the European Union: WIDERA and the New European Bauhaus”. The expert made a presentation containing practical advice on how to use the documents of the Horizon Europe Programme. Among other things, the speaker focused on the details of preparing and submitting a successful project application for EU grant funding.

Also, the heads of the National Contact Points presented the relevant components of the Programme. Thus, Olga Sulema, NCP Widening Participation and Enhancing the European Research Area (WIDERA), spoke about the specifics for Ukrainian scientists and the current calls in 2025 in this area. For her part, Olesia Skliarenko, NCP New European Bauhaus Research Initiative (NEB R&I), informed the participants of the event about this year’s grant opportunities opened to NEB applicants.

The event closed with a Q&A session, during which participants had the opportunity to ask the experts their questions. The event was summed up by Vitalii Kotsur, Rector of the Hryhorii Skovoroda University of Pereiaslav, who also opened the event with a welcoming speech.
