HEOinUA continues to expand cooperation with higher education institutions
On April 22, the team of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine held a working meeting with Olena Pochayevets, Head of the Project Activity Sector of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing a National Contact Point of Horizon Europe Framework Programme at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in the Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area and practical steps to implement this.
The university is very interested in establishing a NCP on the basis of their educational institution, so they turned to the Office for effective advice. On April 08, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced a competitive selection of National Contact Points for European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe and the European Atomic Energy Community Research and Training Programme (2021-2025).
The Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, Ihor Taranov, spoke about the work already done by the Office since its opening at the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, the purpose of its creation and further plans, and introduced its specialists in the areas of responsibility. In addition, the Head of the Office spoke about the peculiarities of the work of the NCPs of the previous EU Framework Programme Horizon 2020 in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action.
Olena Pochayevets positively noted the work of the Office and its activity on all its official resources, which greatly facilitates the search for current calls and useful information for the parties interested in participating in the Programme.
In addition, the guest showed great interest in the upcoming information event in Ivano-Frankivsk. The training and information event “Grant Opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and Support Instruments under the Horizon Europe Programme” will be held on April 29-30. The event is organized by the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas together with the National Research Foundation of Ukraine. On the first day, the participants will learn about grant opportunities from the NRFU, the activities of UKRNOIVI, COST initiative, EUREKA Programme and Horizon Europe Framework Programme. On the second day, individual areas and current calls of Horizon Europe Programme will be highlighted, a practical tour of the Funding and Tenders Portal and certain aspects of project proposal preparation will be presented in detail.
