Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine joined the EIT Jumpstarter Workshop
On April 20, the EIT Jumpstarter Workshop was held at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
This is the first of a series of workshops on Rebuild Ukraine Workshops, introduced by the EIT Community RIS Hub in Ukraine – European Institute of Innovation and Technology, based on the EIT-driven Jumpstarter pre-accelerator programme. Ihor Taranov, PhD in Economics, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, took part in the event as a speaker. He presented avenues to the European funds for startups.
The events are organized for Ukrainian entrepreneurs with projects in the early stages, students ready to transform their innovative ideas into reality, regardless of the knowledge in developing deep tech or science-based startups, as well as researchers willing to commercialise science-based inventions or technologies with market potential. The trainings are designed to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit and promote the development of Ukrainian innovative businesses. The strategic goal of the events is to increase the potential for receiving support in future UASEEDs programs and Horizon Europe competitions.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive sessions that not only foster learning about innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup creation but are also dedicated to the economic reconstruction of Ukraine; benefit from the expertise of trainers, obtaining the vital tools and skills needed to bring innovative concepts to life; peer-to-peer learning that encourages the sharing of insights with participants from varied backgrounds, fostering a network of collaborative innovation; interact with the EIT Jumpstarter’s cross-thematic team and alumni, gaining recommendations on navigating the application process for one of Europeʼs renowned pre-accelerators.
The next event of this format will take place on April 27 at the National Aviation University. Speakers will include representatives and executives from EIT Jumpstarter, Sigma Software Labs, YEP, Genesis Tech, and the Startup Ecosystem at KSE.
