Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, NRFU held a series of webinars dedicated to the successful coordination of the Horizon Europe projects by Ukrainian organisations
Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine in response to numerous requests, held a series of thematic webinars dedicated to the successful coordination of projects by Ukrainian organisations within the Horizon Europe Programme. The events took place on December 16 and 18, 2025, and January 28, 2026.
During the webinars, the participants were presented with successful cases of Horizon Europe projects coordination by Ukrainian organisations. Speakers shared practical experience in preparing applications, the process of daily coordination of the consortium, features of interaction with partners and donors. Also, which is very important too, project managers talked about the challenges faced by coordinators and ways to overcome them. Particular attention was paid to how the coordination of projects is organised in the realities of the Ukrainian financial system.
Thus, the participants received information about:
- projects coordinated by the Lviv Polytechnic National University within the Programme (the institution coordinates 3 projects, and Nazarii Andrushchak, Head of the Project Office, told the participants about);
- coordination of Horizon Europe projects at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Olena Moshynets, Leading Researcher at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine);
- coordination of the project by the team of the Kyiv School of Economics (Vice-rector for international cooperation of KSE Kostyantyn Kyrychenko, Director of the Center for Democratic Stability of KSE Oleksandra Koidel, Manager of the BRIDGE project Anastasia Tereshchuk);
- coordination of the consortium under the Horizon Europe Program by the Institute of Scintillation Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Oleh Sidletskyi, Head of the single crystal cultivation technology Department ISMA);
- coordination of the project, which strengthens the scientific capacity and transfer of practices in agroecology (Oksana Tonkha, Vice-rector for scientific work and innovative activities of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management);
- combining education, science and industry in the nuclear area – project coordination within Euratom (Sergii Pugach, National Science Center Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology, NCP Euratom (Fission) in Ukraine).
The events had a great success among the participants, who asked many questions about not only the peculiarities of project coordination in Ukraine, but also about general participation in Horizon Europe, as well as the activities of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine as the Coordination Center of the Ukrainian NCP network.
