Integration into the European Research Area: HEOinUA took part in the Focus Group on EU-Ukraine business cooperation meeting

On March 18, representatives of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine NRFU took part in a meeting of the Focus Group on EU-Ukraine business cooperation. The Head of the Office Igor Taranov and Leading Officer Maksym Kolisnyk presented the Office and opportunities for Ukrainian participants, in particular small and medium-sized enterprises, within the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.

Martine Diss, Senior expert, DG GROW D.2, opened the event with a welcome speech. Janis Aizsalnieks, DG NEAR E.2, spoke about the latest developments on Accession Report and Ukraine Facility.

Igor Taranov, PhD in Economics, Head of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine NRFU, presented the Ukrainian Office, its importance, purpose and work done since its opening in informing the participants about the future opportunities of the Programme for Ukrainian scientists and innovators. For his part, Maksym Kolisnyk, PhD in Public Administration, Leading Officer of the Office, spoke about future opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises to participate in the Programme.

Support of the Ukrainian researchers and innovators who continue to work during the war in the country and contribute to Ukraine’s integration into the European research area is extremely important today.
