Kyiv Hosts Event on Opportunities of the Horizon Europe Programme for Medical Institutions
On September 24, 2025, the State Scientific Institution “Center for Innovative Healthcare Technologies” of the State Administration of Affairs hosted an informational event: Support Tools within the Horizon Europe Programme. The event took place in a hybrid format and gathered the administration and staff of the institution to help them navigate and take their first steps toward participating in the largest European research and innovation Programme.
The participants were welcomed by Olga Polotska, Executive Director of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, and Yurii Yashchenko, Deputy Director for Research at the State Scientific Institution “Center for Innovative Healthcare Technologies”.
The programme of the event consisted of two parts – theoretical and practical. During the first part, Vladyslav Mykhailenko, Leading Officer of Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, presented the main opportunities of the Programme, while Igor Taranov, Head of the Office, spoke about its activities and the support it provides to Ukrainian participants and organisations.
The practical part focused on organisation registration, finding calls and partners, and preparing for project participation. These topics were covered by Nataliia Didenko, Deputy Head of the Office. Tayisiya Symochko, Leading Officer of the Office, highlighted the opportunities of the Programme in the field of health and shared examples of successful projects.
At the end of the event, participants received practical advice, had the opportunity to ask questions, and obtain individual consultations.
Such meetings help researchers, managers, and healthcare professionals better understand the rules for participating in European research programmes, improve their competencies, and expand international cooperation.
It is worth recalling that on September 12, 2025, the Office’s specialists held similar event for the staff of the Romodanov Neurosurgery Institute.
